Committed to the Community

Our dedicated team of orthodontic doctors and staff live in the communities that we serve, and therefore, they continue to be dedicated to giving back to those who bring us so much joy. It is ingrained in our DNA to give back to this great community that we love so much.

We have created a variety of programs throughout the years to bring continuous awareness to various causes and foundations of the local community. We empower our patients to take action and give back through different programs offered. For example, our Stats for Smiles scholarships offer scholarships and free orthodontic care to families in the community in need. We also keep tabs on the many accomplishments of each of our patients. From sporting championships and graduations to weddings and new family additions, we love to celebrate the many life moments and accomplishments of our patients.

Meet Our Team of Orthodontic Doctors

Dr. J. Courtney Gorman

Dr. Gorman attended Marion High School and graduated in 1979. He then graduated from Indiana University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology. Later that year, he started his dental training at the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis. After his sophomore year, he married his beautiful wife Cindy, and they lived in Broad Ripple for the next two years. Doctor Gorman graduated from dental school in 1987, and he was accepted to an orthodontic residency in St. Louis at Washington University. While in St. Louis, Cindy gave birth to their first child, Chelsea, in early ’88. He finished his degree in 1989 and returned to Marion to practice with his father Jack Gorman. During the next two years they traveled to St. Louis every month to teach lingual (behind the teeth) orthodontics to the residents. In 1990, Cindy and Courtney were blessed with the birth of their son Tripp, and a year later their youngest child Grace was born.

Dr. Gorman loves what he does and would love to sculpt a perfect smile just for you. In 1998, Dr. Gorman became a Board Certified Orthodontist. Not a required certification, but one that says he took the additional step to have his cases evaluated and judged by a panel of his peers. It was a lot of extra work, but it lets patients know that they are receiving the highest level of care possible. In 2001, he became a certified Invisalign provider, specializing in Invisalign treatment ever since. He’s honored to be in the top one percent of North American Invisalign providers.

Besides his family and orthodontics, Dr. G’s other passions are big mountain skiing, golf, ocean sailing, and fishing. He still teaches once a month at Indiana University’s Orthodontic Department, where he instructs residents in all aspects of orthodontic therapy with an emphasis on Invisalign. This was also where he and Dr. Bunch met.
